Zondag 22 April gaf meester in de 'shodo' (Japanse kalligrafie) Yumi Hirao een workshop in de Japanse Winkel & Webshop Batsu te Groningen.

Workshop Japanse Kalligrafie door Yumi Hirao

Zondag 22 april bezocht ik de Japanse Winkel & Webshop Batsu te Groningen om foto’s te maken van de Shodō workshop voor de Japan in Nederland serie.

Workshop Japanse Kalligrafie (Shodo) – Yumi Hirao

Yumi Hirao leerde de deelnemers de beginselen van het Japanse kalligrafieschrift. Daarbij werd de inkt zelf gemaakt middels een inktstaaf en een inksteen om vervolgens op rijstpapier met een Japans penseel het karakter (kanji) te schrijven. De Japanse kalligrafie wordt ook wel shodō genoemd, wat ‘de weg van het schrijven’ betekent.
